Turning Point

Turning Point : As quoted from the dictionary, the word means , an event marking a unique or important historical change of course or one on which important developments depend. while the discussion of the same would be my objective, the context is something u'd find in the text, later.

A Cricket Match

Cricket in India is a highly loved game, and we all know it, we watch it too..but one of the best things i love about it, and about any sport for that matter is,the post match presentation ceremony where the entire game is evaluated and key points are pondered over. Have u ever noticed one of the most common questions at the end of the match, during the presentation ceremony?Be it the winning captain or the losing one, the one question asked from the two is what according to them was the turning point. And the probability of this question being asked is a direct function of the closeness of the contest. The more close is the contest, the more crucial and clear this Turning Point tends to get.
Do we get the analogy here?If we draw one between life and cricket?Discussing what this life is all about is probably the most cliched topic and I understand the monotonousness that it brings with it. yet we never stop trying to understand the answer and keep on searching for one that satisfies us completely. But the irony is, the more we look for it, the more complicated it tends to get.
My aim is not to contemplate over this subject, not a bit! because my point is, The Turning Point.
Here's what i mean.
Picture this.
You are standing with your fellows, as the presentation is about to begin. There's this one man with a mike in his hand, on the stage positioned in the middle of a five and a half acre field, among millions and millions of charged up rooters in the stands, singing out loud, playing music, everything's but adding to the exuberance in the environment. And now it's your turn. HE calls out your name, asking you to come up on the stage in front of all.And as you walk your path up to that podium, while your eyes look around to see people cheering out loud savoring each moment of what's happening, your mind retrospects all that happened during the entire time u were there on the field playing that game, and starts preparing u for the questions that you'd be answering two seconds from now.And now when u reach up there, there's pin drop silence as the crowd turns still. With a smile on HIS face, HE asks you just one question,
"What do think changed the game? What, according to you, my child, was the turning point?"
